Qair has successfully commissioned the Altenschlag wind farm project in Germany. This significant development is a part of Qair’s ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio across Europe. The wind farm, consisting of 3 turbines, will generate enough electricity to power around 8,000 households annually. With a total capacity of 13.5MW, the wind farm is expected to significantly contribute to Germany’s renewable energy targets.
The activation of this wind farm aligns with Germany’s broader commitment to transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy. The country aims to cut 55% of its emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050, and projects like Qair’s are crucial to achieving this goal. Furthermore, the wind farm has created jobs with a local team of over 100 professionals.
Qair continues to explore additional projects in other regions as part of its ambitious plans to increase renewable energy resources globally. This wind farm marks another milestone in their mission to produce sustainable energy solutions and reduce carbon emissions.
The commissioning of this wind farm follows the recent launch of the Rokietnika solar farm in Poland. Another project Qair has under construction includes a 31MW wind project which is scheduled for commissioning this year. An 11.4MW wind farm and a 20MW / 44MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project are also in advanced development.
