Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd., a prominent player in the solar industry, has recently secured a significant contract valued at ₹345 crore. This project involves the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning for ground-mounted solar panels with a capacity of 300 MW AC / 435 MW DC in the state of Rajasthan.

This ambitious undertaking marks a significant milestone for Waaree, further establishing its footprint in the renewable energy sector. The company, which has already installed 10,000+ solar projects worldwide that account for more than 2.32 GW of combined capacity, is known for its strategic approach to implementing sustainable solutions efficiently.

Rajasthan, characterized by its vast stretches of arid land and abundant sunlight, provides an ideal setting for solar power installations. The addition of this project will not only help in meeting the state’s growing energy demands but also align with India’s commitment to renewable energy expansion.

The contract awarded to Waaree underscores its reputation for delivering high-quality solar solutions. The company’s expertise in handling large-scale projects will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and successful deployment of this initiative. The EPC model will facilitate the seamless integration of various project components, maintaining optimal performance standards throughout the process.

Waaree’s strategy focuses on incorporating advanced technologies to maximize energy output while minimizing costs. The company continuously innovates by adopting cutting-edge practices in solar power engineering and commissioning, ensuring that its projects deliver long-term sustainability. The solar plant will incorporate a state-of-the-art 33/220 kV pooling substation and feature advanced robotic cleaning systems.

This project is also expected to generate considerable local employment opportunities, contributing to regional economic development. By engaging local resources, Waaree will help foster skill development in renewable energy technologies, creating a pool of talent equipped to support India’s green energy goals. The project is set to be completed in 2025-26.

The deployment of this solar project represents a pivotal step in reinforcing India’s strategic focus on renewable energy sources. With increasing emphasis on clean power, Waaree’s initiative will aid in reducing carbon footprints and promote environmental wellbeing.

Garnering support from government policies that stimulate solar investments, projects like these are vital in steering the nation towards a more sustainable energy landscape. The success of this venture will likely bolster future solar endeavors and encourage similar investments, propelling the country towards greater energy independence.

“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our relationship, built on mutual trust, shared vision, and a commitment to sustainable growth. We value this partnership deeply and look forward to working closely together to deliver impactful outcomes now and into the future,” said Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, WRTL.

Waaree Renewable Technologies continues to set benchmarks in the sector by consistently delivering projects that meet high standards of reliability and efficiency. As the company navigates the complexities of modern energy needs, such initiatives reflect its commitment to driving the renewable energy revolution across India.
