Emerson and Prevalon Energy have joined forces to enhance battery energy storage solutions for data centers, a development that could greatly improve energy efficiency and sustainability in this critical sector.

Data centers, the backbone of our digital infrastructure, require reliable and efficient energy solutions to support their operations. The partnership between Emerson, a leader in automation and technology, and Prevalon Energy, a company specializing in energy storage systems, aims to address these needs by bringing innovative integrated energy solutions to the market for data centers.

These systems are designed to achieve the highest levels of performance, uptime, and sustainability while ensuring that data centers can operate efficiently, even in times of high energy demand or power outages.

Energy storage is becoming increasingly important as data centers strive to minimize their environmental impact and increase efficiency. By incorporating advanced storage technologies, data centers can draw energy from stored reserves during peak demand times, reducing reliance on the grid and lowering overall energy costs.

This collaboration highlights the importance of innovation in addressing energy challenges within the construction and engineering industries. As data demands continue to grow, so does the necessity for sustainable and efficient energy solutions.

“Our alliance with Emerson marks an important milestone in the evolution of data center energy systems,” said Tom Cornell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Prevalon Energy. “By integrating our storage and energy management platforms with Emerson’s proven power plant control technologies, we’re empowering data centers to achieve unmatched reliability and efficiency in a rapidly electrifying digital economy.”

This partnership not only underscores the commitment of both companies to sustainability but also sets a precedent for industry-wide advancements. It is an example of how strategic collaborations can tackle complex energy challenges, providing models for future initiatives in the industry.

“This collaboration unites two complementary technologies to transform how power is produced, stored, and delivered to mission-critical data center operations,” said Michael McManus, Chief Strategy Officer at Prevalon Energy. “Together, we’re building the resilient, intelligent infrastructure that the global data center community depends on.”

As the need for robust and efficient data centers continues to rise, initiatives like the one between Emerson and Prevalon have the potential to make a significant impact on the way energy is used and managed within this essential sector. The collaboration is poised not just to benefit the companies involved but also to drive progress in energy solutions for data centers worldwide.

Such advancements support broader environmental goals by promoting energy-efficient practices and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the construction and engineering industries focused on sustainable progress. Through this agreement, Prevalon and Emerson will jointly pursue opportunities to integrate advanced control, automation, and energy storage systems for data centers. With this partnership, Emerson and Prevalon are paving the way for more efficient and environmentally conscious data center operations.
